About the race

Join Ohio Christian University Track & Field for an evening of running, costumes, treats, and fall fun! Whether you’re chasing a fast time, bringing the kids for a candy-filled adventure, or cheering on friends and family, Trot or Treat is a fun way to support the Trailblazers. Friday, October 30, 2026 Roundtown Pavilion, behind the Maxwell Center Ohio Christian University, Circleville, Ohio Trot or Treat 5K Race along OCU’s scenic cross country course, surrounded by autumn scenery. The 5K will feature Fully Automated Timing (F.A.T.), with event T-shirts awarded to the top 10 male and top 10 female finishers. Costumes are encouraged! ● 5K registration: $25 ● OCU student 5K registration: $15 Kids’ ½-Mile Candy Run Little runners can join the fun on a half-mile route featuring candy stations along the way! This event is about enjoying the experience, showing off costumes, and celebrating at the finish. Parents are welcome to walk or run alongside their children. ● Kids’ candy run registration: $5 per child Stay for the fall celebration! Enjoy music, costume contests, make-your-own s’mores, apple cider, hot chocolate, photo opportunities, and more fall fun! S’mores and a choice of cider or hot chocolate are included with race registration. Costume contest categories will include Best Individual Costume, Best Group or Family Costume, Best Youth Costume, and Most Creative Costume. Winners will be announced during the awards celebration. Additional event T-shirts will be available for purchase to benefit the team. Shirts are sold separately from registration, except for those awarded to the top 10 male and top 10 female 5K finishers. Evening Schedule ● 4:45 p.m. — Check-in opens ● 5:30 p.m. — 5K race begins ● 6:30 p.m. — Kids’ ½-Mile Candy Run ● 6:50 p.m. — Race awards and costume contest winners ● Following the kids’ run until 7:30 p.m. — Fall celebration Registration Register online at https://tracck.net/race/ocu5k or at the event. Please arrive early enough to complete registration and check-in before your race begins. Proceeds support OCU Track & Field and Cross Country. Bring your family, invite your friends, and help support our student-athletes! Come for the run. Stay for the treats!

In consideration of being allowed to participate in OCU Track & Field’s Trot or Treat 5K & Kids’ ½-Mile Candy Run on [DATE], I acknowledge that running a road race or fun run is a potentially hazardous activity and that I should not enter unless I am medically able and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with participating, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic and the conditions of the course. Knowing these facts, and in consideration of my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Ohio Christian University, Tracck, the event sponsors, volunteers and all persons connected with the event from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation, even though that liability may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to the organizers to use photographs, video and results of me taken during the event for any legitimate purpose. I understand that entries are non-refundable and the race will be held rain or shine.
